Muse Mondays: Mary Kate Olsen

Mary Kate Olsen

I've adored MK since her Full House and Olsen Twin days. I grew up watching the twins and I have fallen for  MK. She has a gypsy edge to her. Her style and attitude are infectious.

Gnome Love

For whatever reason i have fallen in love with garden gnomes. yup, you heard me right, GARDEN GNOMES!  growing up my parents had garden gnomes in our yard and i never quite got what the big deal was. then one day they were stolen. hence, obsession begins.  it appears that people all over have a slight obsession with them. They make an already pleasant garden that much more enjoyable.  What makes people attracted to these happy little fellows? These gentle woodland creatures have stolen my heart. it must be that pointy hat, the grandpa over-the-waist and belted pants, the rosy cheeks, and that happy go lucky smile. they are features in movies, TV shows, and in commercials. They have a new movie called Gnomeo and Juliet that the inner child in me CAN'T wait to see! Whatever it is i have fallen in love with them and my obsession continues to grow. Here are a few of my favorite images of these happy faces. Happy Friday!!

I made my own Gnome on the Gnome & Juliet website! I named him Morten.

BFF's

When your BFF who lives in Vegas comes into town you have to grab all of the possibilities to see him as much as you can. We went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants called FEZ and then went further downtown to a club, Amsterdam. Amsterdam is a great club and serves a tasty drink. Strawberry peach martini. One and you are basically on the floor, but they are soooo good!

I love these two! Two of the most amazing and genuine people i know. i met them when i first moved to the desert and they still remain to be such good friends

My Favorite picture from the evening!

Jonathan is such a great friend, I asked him to be one of the people standing up there with me on my wedding day.  He cried. :o) Day by day the wedding is coming together and I can't wait to share it with all the people we care about.

Mint to be...

Ever since I was little, I have absolutely loved mint ice cream. Currently I am obsessed with this color whether it is on my nails, wardrobe, or house decor. LOVE LOVE LOVE. We are even incorporating this tasty color into our wedding this November.  Here are a few of my favorite minted items.
A fun crochet cone and it doesn't melt anything other than your heart. From Yarn Tomato

never goes out of style. I WANT!

My future kitchen. Hopefully Anthony will let me splash this color all over our future home.

I've Always LOVED the idea of just taking off and traveling, which could be why I am deciding to collect globes. The adventure seeker in me wants to get my hands on this minted item from Design Within Reach.

Maurizio Pecoraro, Vena Cava, Chris Benz, Maurizio Pecoraro oh my!
I love these pastel colored looks from the runway. The airyness of the fabrics with seafoam and mint just make me yearn for spring! Although the looks are from the runway of 2009 Refinery 29's image is still on spot with trends that are happening in 2011.

Succulents. They are fantastic! especially because no matter how much I love flowers and gardening, I have more of a brown thumb rather than a green one. Succulents are awesome! You can water them when you remember and they are pretty self sufficient so they won't die on you! Not only are they pretty, unique, they are perfect for the not so good gardener.

Love. Nail polish is the easiest ways to transform your mood and key into a style or color trend of the moment.

This is is PERFECT! I love how feminine the ruffles and the lace make this dress from Paul & Joe. The cut is sexy but classy. This could be the perfect Spring dress or a wonderful bridesmaid dress for my lovely ladies.

Muse Mondays: Debbie Harry

Blondie
 Debbie Harry

Debbie Harry is wonderfully sexy and full of such vivaciousness. Since the 1980's her style and courageous presence is still apparent even into her 60's. She's badass and looks good while doing it.

A Buffalo Flying

Here are a couple photos from my buy trip. I didn't get to take a lot of photos due to how busy we were, but the short trip was insightful and made me pretty much wish I could be a buyer myself. As much as I love shopping, it is completely different to buy for an entire company rather than just yourself. You learn you don't always know what other people want to wear. It was nice to see what its like for our buyers to buy for such a large company and see how they actually perform their job.
The trade room we were in for a little while. This picture pretty much sums up my trip. Water, coffee, and of course clothing.

The hotel was so beautiful, i snagged a few photos when i could.
We stayed at Figueroa Hotel. The old world and Moroccan details transcended you into a different place and time. Although the hotel was not the most extravagant place ever, it was quaint, unique, and definitely different from any other cookie cutter hotel out there.

AMAZING!

A Fine Romance

The Groom

The Bride

This past weekend Anthony and I went to the Bridal Expo. As we walked in we both were completely overwhelmed by all the super traditional wedding dresses(aka UGLY wedding dresses), the gody wedding decor, and tons of people. As we smushed through the crowd, we gradually became less terrified of all the people shoving pamphlets in our faces and began to take our wedding planning under control. I admit I don't feel like a normal bride. I don't want a super expensive, over done wedding. I want something casual, vintage inspired, and unique to reflect our tastes. Wanting these things in the state of Arizona for some reason doesn't seem to go hand in hand with what we want at least so far.   After almost of 3 hours at the Expo I one became extremely thankful for Anthony and fell more in love with him than I already am and two wanted to cry filled with stress and frustration. I am trying to tell myself that all this wedding stress with lessing the more we plan. One thing we did walk away from was a name of a wonderful wedding stylist that we will be making an appointment with ASAP. Tomorrow I leave to go to LA with work. I am going to LA to go with our company's purchasing buyer to well buy items for the stores and see how shes does her job. I am very excited but extremely nervous. It will be the VERY FIRST TIME Anthony and I would not be spending a night together since we started dating! I already can't wait to come home, hug and kiss him when I return. But for now I am excited to go on this adventure!!!

Muse Mondays

Miss Jenny Lewis

Jenny Lewis has to be one of my biggest girl crushes for multiple reason. She is AMAZINGLY talented to start and she has such a fantastic casual bohemian and vintage flare.  Every time I look at her, it makes me want to grab the closest pair of scissors and snip off my semi-grown out bangs. My first introduction to Miss Lewis was in one of my favorite childhood movies, "Troop Beverly Hills" and I am still fascinated by her beauty, style, and most of all talent.
