Thrift till you drop!

This past weekend was exhausting!! Anthony went to Vegas with about 15 guys for one of our friends bachelor parties. So my mom took this opportunity to come down and visit for the weekend and help get any random wedding stuff accomplished.  We literally thrifted ALL WEEKEND!!! Normally I would be completely excited with vintage shopaholic joy, but after 7 hours of being visually stimulated by tons of random pieces my eyes killed, my brain hurt, and all I wanted to do was stop, shower and cuddle in bed while watching a movie. We got a lot accomplished! I finally got to go and talk to wonderful woman to alter my 1950's wedding dress to update it to fit my style, found miscellaneous items for our wedding such as a chandelier and rustic doors.  It was fun to hang out with my mom and do girly things.

A Vintage 50's dress that has a very
similar bottom to my wedding dress.
We even got to hang out with my aunt and my younger cousin, Haley. Who just so happens to be the coolest person I know under the age of 18.  She pretty much loves everything I do and whats funny about is that we didn't grow up together. A few years after she was born I moved to Omaha. But she is lovely and I am happy that I get a chance to hang out with her and be there for her into her teens.

The weekend went by fast and I enjoyed my mom/daughter time but I definitely missed my love!  It was weird going to bed and waking up without him. Literally I slept in knots. Twisting and turning my body not really knowing where to lay. We are pretty big cuddle bugs and so my body really didn't know where to lay. Him coming home was amazing, lots of love followed. Talks about our weekend extravaganzas and how we missed one another. Sometimes distance is good for a relationship. It helps put perspective on it, and realize/recognize feeling you have. I missed my best friend and lover but jimminnie Christmas its good to have him home!

This past week was my two year anniversary with the Buff. I got a yummy Strawberry Shortcake.  I can't believe its been that long and its crazy to look back at all the interesting and sometimes crazy things that have happened to me within those two years some with work and in my personal life.  Moving to Arizona has definitely put perspective on life for me.  Family, good friends, and being loyal to yourself are my main priorities.  Saying hello to new friends and good bye to old, finding new things out about myself, and loving every minute of it.
