Enchanted Forest

 So I know I am probably the 500th person to blog about Jill Stuart's fall/winter collection for 2011, but I am a total sucker for anything with an animal on it especially owls! plus, she shows fanny BELTS! not the so tacky fanny pack its a chic leather fanny belt. LOVE IT! the classic shapes and colorful prints are fantastic and I want it ALL! 

Confetti!

To be festive the other day I bought some new nail polish, Revlon Top Speed in "Candy". This color looks pretty and sweet in the bottle. Once on, I really wasn't in love.  BUT when in Flagstaff over the weekend I came across this cheapy nail polish at the Basement Marketplace, which literally is in the basement of this teeny tiny shopping mall. The cheapy nail polish is a gold glitter with bigger pieces of glitter in red and blue. its called "Firework". Out of curiosity, and because I really didn't care for the pepto pink on my nails I painted over it. It turns out pepto pink with "Firework" painted on top actually turns out to look like Sprinkles on top of ice cream or confetti cake! I now love how my nails look and I feel a little more like Katy Perry rather than an pink obsessed teeny bopper!

So a new wedding website has popped up that I am completely obsessed with!! It has the same unique and shabby chic flare as Anthropology but for the modern but eclectic bride. and I want it ALL! I've always loved Valentine's Day. It never mattered to me if I was single or in a relationship.  Maybe because deep down I am a total girly girl, all the pastel colors and hearts everywhere, or that I knew I was truly loved. It's probably a combination of all of the above. I always had such great parents and friends that I knew cared about me. hes so tiny and perfect.  i wish i could have been there to help Kelly when she needed me, and be there to support her when she was in labor, or to be there now to hold that precious baby while shes trying to get a good nap in.  but i do know that when i get to see him hes going to be covered in kisses and loved so much.  

Cheese and Rice

I moved to Arizona in September of 2008 and honestly moving back here was the most difficult thing I ever had to experience.  The one thing I miss the most about Omaha is my friends.  I miss seeing and hanging out with the people who really helped shape who I am.  One of my closest and dearest friends in Omaha is currently having her first baby boy, Landon!  I wish I could be there to help her and be there for her and to see her adorable little man!! Kelly and I go together like cheese and rice.  Shes the cheese and I am the rice.  I love her and miss her as well as the rest of my loves in the mid-west.  I can't wait to go back home and see them!

Walk like an Egyptian

So planning a wedding has pretty much taken up all my free time. I keep intending to have Anthony photograph me so I can put up some of the great finds I've been accumulating all put together, so I took it upon myself to take a couple myself. I had to share this great vintage dress.

I've adored MK since her Full House and Olsen Twin days. I grew up watching the twins and I have fallen for  MK. She has a gypsy edge to her. Her style and attitude are infectious.  

Gnome Love

For whatever reason i have fallen in love with garden gnomes. yup, you heard me right, GARDEN GNOMES!  growing up my parents had garden gnomes in our yard and i never quite got what the big deal was. then one day they were stolen. hence, obsession begins.  it appears that people all over have a slight obsession with them. They make an already pleasant garden that much more enjoyable.  What makes people attracted to these happy little fellows? These gentle woodland creatures have stolen my heart. it must be that pointy hat, the grandpa over-the-waist and belted pants, the rosy cheeks, and that happy go lucky smile. they are features in movies, TV shows, and in commercials. They have a new movie called Gnomeo and Juliet that the inner child in me CAN'T wait to see! Whatever it is i have fallen in love with them and my obsession continues to grow.
